Double The Fun At PS4: Frankely and Saony

When you walk the halls of PS4, you may think you are seeing double. Don't worry...you are not. What you are actually seeing are some of the twins that attend The Duke Ellington School. The school now has nine sets of twins from kindergarten to the fifth grade!  Each month we'll feature a set of twins that go to our school!  This month, we're featuring a set of twins from kindergarten!

Kindergarten twins, Frankely and Saony.
Frankely and Saony C. are both in Mr. Cesani's class. Saony is the older twin and she says that she likes being a twin.  "It's nice", she says.  Frankely says that he runs faster her and likes to play with his toys.   Saony likes watching shows on The Disney Channel.  "Austin and Allie make me laugh." Click here to see episodes of Soany's favorite show!

These fraternal twins are in the same class, but most importantly Frankely and Saony say they like being twins because they like playing together.  On behalf of the teachers of PS4, we look forward to seeing you both continue to learn and grow.

Double The Fun At PS4: Aracely and Yaritza

Aracely on the left and Yaritza on the right.
Each week we'll feature a set of twins that go to PS4!  Our school has nine sets of twins from kindergarten to the fifth grade! Most of them are identical, but some are fraternal. This week, we're featuring 5th grade fraternal twins, Arecely and Yaritza, both from class 501.  Click here to meet their teacher!

Aracely and Yaritza D. are fraternal twins, which means they were born at the same time but don't share the same facial features. These twins have attended PS4 since Kindergarten. When asked about the best part of being a twin, Aracely said, "the best part about being a twin is that I don't have to be an only child." Yaritza, who is an Art Club member, added that she likes being a twin and loves her sister.   The next time you see this set of twins, say hello!

Double The Fun At PS4: Rossy and Jessy

Fourth grade twins Rossy and Jessy B.
When you walk the halls of PS4, you may think you are seeing double. Don't worry...you are not. What you are actually seeing are some of the twins that attend The Duke Ellington School. The school now has nine sets of twins from kindergarten to the fifth grade! Most of them are identical, but there are some that are fraternal. With fraternal twins, even though they were born at the same time, the siblings do not look exactly alike and some sets are different genders!

Each week we'll feature a set of twins that go to our school!  This week, we're featuring twins from the Dominican Republic, Rossy and Jessy!

Rossy and Jessy are identical twins from Ms. Daniel's class (401).  They were also in the same class last year.  When asked, what is the one question that people always ask, Jessy said, "people ask my Mom how she knows which is which."  She goes on to explain that Rossy has a beauty mark on her forehead and a scar on her nose.  "Sometimes it's hard being a twin because people get us confused", says Jessy.  Rossy and Jessy are the first set of twins in their family.
