New School Uniforms

Ms. White discussing the new uniforms with parents.
Since the beginning of the new school year, we've seen two new colors on all of our students!  Burgundy and grey are the new school uniform colors!  This past week, Jackie's Kids School Uniform Store was asked to support our school by making options available to PS4 parents that would like to purchase uniforms.  More than forty parents took advantage of uniform sales taking place in the gym.  "I am happily surprised that so many parents came out", said Michelle from Jackie's Kids.  According to Michelle, the top selling items were plaid skirts and v-neck sweaters.

For more information on purchasing uniforms, contact Lucy Perez (Parent Coordinator) by calling the main office or call Jackie's Kids School Uniform Store in the Bronx at 718-548-8841.

From the Principal's Desk

In her final letter of the school year, our Principal, Ms. Delois White-Jones, addresses the PS4 community...

Dear Students,

The school year has finally ended, and I am sure you have some wonderful plans for your summer vacation!

Please remember that it is very important that you read some pages of a book each day.  In addition, I am encouraging you to review your math notes and to make sure that you have memorized the multiplication tables before returning to school on September 6, 2012.

I am counting on you to remind your parents to buy the new uniform for September.  Our new colors are  burgundy and grey.  We are asking our boys to wear burgundy ties with light grey shirts and blazers each day.  On some days, our boys may opt to wear a burgundy sweater instead of the blazer.  Our girls are asked to wear light grey blouses with burgundy skirts or jumpers each day.  On gym day, you may wear a burgundy warm-up suit with sneakers for your comfort.

Finally, I look forward to working with you in September, and I wish you and your family a happy and restful summer vacation.

Sincerely,
Delois White-Jones
Principal, PS4M
