Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Happy Rosh Hashanah! Some of you may be wondering just exactly what Rosh Hashanah is. Rosh Hashanah is the day when Jewish men and women recognize a New Year. Even though most of us celebrate the beginning of the new year on January 1st, Jewish families also follow another calendar that tells them when the year ends and when it begins. So, whenever someone asks you what Rosh Hashanah is, you can tell them that it's not just a time when schools are closed but the days when people of Jewish faith mark the beginning and end of the Jewish calendar.
