Happy April Fool's Day!

There are a few ideas of how April Fool's Day began.  Many believe that the original New Year’s Day was April 1st. Later, religious leaders changed the calendar and they also changed the date for the first of the year.  However, some people continued using April 1st as the date of the new year. These people were referred to as “April Fools”.  That was in the year 1564!  For more information on the history of the day, click here.

April Fools' Day is still observed throughout the Western world, including the United States. Practices include sending someone on a "fool's errand," looking for things that don't exist, playing pranks, and trying to get people to believe ridiculous things.  So, click here to win a million dollars!
