Black History Month

Every February, P.S. 4 and the rest of the country celebrate Black History Month. This is the month that America focuses on the contributions that Black men and women have made to our country. So, on February 5th The Duke Ellington School will have a fundraiser celebrating Black History Month. "It's going to be a phenomenal night" says Ms. White, the Principal of P.S. 4. There will be a jazz band from the NYC Jazz Foundation, Praise Dancers, a professional poet, a church choir, and vendors selling items and products. Tickets are being sold for $20 and the money will be used to purchase a new sound system to be put in the school's auditorium. For tickets or more information, please contact the school's main office at 212-928-0739.
